Preparation for German language tests

Students with different levels of prior knowledge come to us to prepare for exams. Before the course begins, the teacher determines the student’s current level. The program is modified depending on the results. If a student is at the A1-A2 level, they first learn basic grammar and vocabulary and then move on to exam preparation. If the level is B1-B2, teachers pick up the pace of the main program. Training for levels C1-C2 is aimed at improving skills and reviewing topics.

The exams we prepare for are: DTZ, TELC C1 HS, Goethe-Zertifikat Cand 2, and TestDaF. The results of these tests are useful in various areas of activity: from general needs for living abroad to professional orientation. The tests help immigrants obtain education, improve their professional qualification and obtain citizenship, etc.

For beginners and students with levels A1–A2, we recommend starting preparation on average 1 year before the test. The intensity of the program depends on their prior knowledge. If a student has a higher level, we offer a choice of preparation courses covering 1 or 2 levels, which are either intensive or gradual. They take from 1 to 6 months.

At AP Courses, test preparation is conducted online. Its distinctive feature is that it “blurs” the difference between distance and traditional learning, even making the online format more effective and efficient. For training programs, methodologists select materials from European examination centers that are publicly and archivally accessible, as well as available on partnership terms between educational institutions. These materials are processed by our education department. After that, teachers adapt them to the different levels of their students, adjusting them to the pace of learning and specific requests in an individual format.

Yes, individual training is quite popular among students at our center. It works best as a supplement to group learning. In such sessions, the teacher works on the personal requests of one student that arise during previous classes. That is, they work well for revising basic material. But they can also be considered as the main form of learning — this is the most effective way, because the form of concentrated dialogue without outsiders gives the best results.
